Understand the challenges and experiences of adolescence. Adolescence is a time between being a child and being an adult where there are many physical and psychological changes (eg. in relation to sexuality, physiology, emotions, moral perception, self-esteem, etc). Adolescence can be difficult for the adolescent and for people interacting with them (family, friends, professionals etc). This course offers opportunity to understand these changes, and consider options for dealing with the adolescent, whether as a professional, or even simply as a friend or parent.
