Throughout this seminar the participants will work on developing their own persuasive presentations. In the process, they will learn how to use a proven American presentation structure, effective resistance handling tactics, and persuasive rhetorical techniques. All tactics and techniques are learned through question and answer conversations, practical exercises, structured and free role plays. Gerichtet an: Practical training for managers and employees of German companies doing business in the U.S.A. Senior management who present to American audiences. Engineers and senior technical staff who make presentations to American audiences or team members. Business development managers, key-account-managers, and other members of sales and marketing teams who make sales presentations to Americans.

Participants will learn how to structure an American style presentation. In this seminar the participants will learn to use a very effective and persuasive American presentation structure. They will learn step-by-step how to prepare opening and closing statements which exactly meet American expectations. They will also learn how to build the body of their presentations based on benefits which are important to Americans. Finally, they will learn a method for deciding which information should be put into the presentation, and which information should be left out.
Americans expect presentations to be interesting, interactive, and to the point (short). In this seminar the participants will learn how and when to include several powerful rhetorical techniques in their presentations. For example, they will learn how and when to use stories and metaphors, anchors, analogies, demonstrative and rhetorical questions, silence, and humour.
Participants will learn how to deal with questions, and how to handle a difficult audience.
Americans expect to be allowed to participate in the presentation. If they are interested in the subject, they will ask questions and make comments. In this seminar the participants will learn how to handle questions, how to prepare in a way that meets the audience’s expectations every time, and how to handle a difficult audience.
American audiences expect to hear a presentation which takes their concerns into account. In this seminar the participants will learn how to avoid or prepare for resistance, and they will learn one of the most powerful techniques known today for turning objections into support.
