Early Childhood Studies explores the needs and experiences of younger children. Our degree is taught by expert tutors with extensive experience in early years settings and investigates how education shapes child development. Upon graduation, this course will also provide you with the EYTS professional qualification.

Voraussetzungen: Interviews, entrance tests, portfolios and auditions Prior to commencing the course, you must pass Department for Education professional skills tests in numeracy and literacy. You are advised to pass them before your interview wherever possible in order to give yourself the best possible chance of success. However if you haven't passed at the time of the interview and you receive an offer it will be conditional on passing the tests by a nominated date.

Placement 2 provides an opportunity for you to work with young children in an early years setting and Key Stage 1. You'll build on your understanding of the Teachers' Standards (Early Years) from placement 1 and lead aspects of practice to support the care and education of young children from birth to the end of Key Stage 1.

Placement 3 prepares you for the assessment of the Teachers' Standards (Early Years). You'll develop an aspect of practice with young children from birth to five years in an early years setting based on your previous research.
