FTA – Quantitative Failure Tree Analysis as proof of safety

With regard to Functional Safety, a quantitative proof is necessary. This seminar imparts the Failure Tree Analysis methodology as a qualitative and quanti­tative proof of safety according to IEC 61508 and/or ISO 26262:

• Introduction to the IEC 61508 and ISO 26262
• Basics of the FTA/Failure Tree Analysis
• Graphical presentation of logical failure combinations
• Analysis of Common Cause/Minimal Cut Failure
• Determination of the total failure rate
• Calculation of the Dangerous Failure Coverage
