Samstag: Modul 1 - Foundation
Where it is often a misconception that yoga is only about stretching, this module will bring insight how to stabilize major body joint complexes by utilizing opposing muscle groups to support tendons, ligaments and cartilage in order to prevent potential injury. This will also be coupled with information about the utilization of Mula, Uddiyana, and Jalandhara bandha (energy locks) to promote core stability and efficient movement of energy in the body. Various posture groups will be practiced with additional emphasis on alignment and refined breath.
Sonntag: Modul 2 - Prana Shakti
This module will emphasize on pranayama (breathing practice) to cultivate concentration, economize energy, slow the aging process, raise awareness and tone all aspects of human physiology. Lecture will include information related of the fundamental attributes of the breathing practices as a preface to the deeper insights in yoga practice. Asana will consist of a flowing hatha yoga sequence with focus on the economizing correct breathing, and bandha to hold postures for longer periods. Physical practice will review the first module posture work with added abdominal, balancing and upper body posture work. The emphasis will be on observing the physical body throughout the practice, encouraging participants to realize the direct link with psychological insights and self-inquiry.
