Topics include: The Rise of the Nation State in the Western World, From Empire to Welfare in Britain, Politics in Action and Introduction to Political Ideas.

The subjects that you will study in your second year examine a range of topics pertinent to both politics and history and will deepen and broaden your understanding of both disciplines. In addition, you will have the opportunity to specialise and select one optional module.

In your final year you will have the opportunity to choose from a range of specialised options and write a dissertation on a topic of your own choice.

HOW WILL THIS COURSE BE TAUGHT?

Your course will be based on a series of lectures, with associated seminars and workshop practical classes. In addition, your personal tutor will review and discuss your progress with you and will be available for advice.
