KURSINHALT
Support and Maintain presents the technical aspects of storage subsystem support and maintenance of the DS4000 and DS5000 storage subsystems. The basic objective of this course is to equip participants with the essential concepts associated with the operation and management of DS4000 and DS5000 storage subsystems within a Storage Area Network (SAN) in order to be able to support and maintain these subsystems. _x000D_

_x000D_

Success in the support and maintenance of optimal storage subsystems requires the ability to rapidly assess a situation, analyze information and determine a timely solution. The course utilizes a decision making methodology known as the OODA loop (Observation, Orientation, Decision, and Action). _x000D_

_x000D_

The course modules present technical concepts that include host-based multi-pathing, switch zoning, the SCSI Architecture Model, and controller and drive-side architecture. You will learn how to analyze and maintain DS4000 and DS5000 storage subsystems through lecture, hands-on labs, and customer-related support data exercises. _x000D_

_x000D_

The modules use a case-study approach. Problem determination exercises provides you opportunities to analyze and diagnose several storage subsystem solutions. The lecture will include an in-depth discussion of Fibre Channel topology and how to use the tools available in the storage manager software to analyze DS4000 and DS5000 storage subsystem issues, including an analysis of the support data files. _x000D_

_x000D_

The course is 40% lecture and 60% support data exercises combined with hands-on labs.Themenübersicht
