Students should successfully complete a WebSphere Application Server V6.1 Administration course ((WA361) or (VA361) for Windows, (WA461) or (VA461) for AIX, or (WA561) or (VA561) for Linux), or have equivalent experience.
This one-day instructor-led course prepares students to take the WebSphere Application Server V6.1 Administrator certification test by covering various aspects of the exam and providing a review of WebSphere Application Server concepts and skills.The first part of this course consists of an instructor-led review of WebSphere Application Server administration topics. Students review sample test questions from various areas of the test with the instructor, discussing information such as the correct answer for the question and why that answer is correct. Test questions cover topics such as architecture, installation and configuration of Application Server, application assembly and deployment, WebSphere security, workload management, scalability, failover, maintenance, performance, and problem determination.Students will receive a voucher from the instructor that they can use to take the test (253) at a future date.Note: This course does not cover specific WebSphere Application Server administration topics, such as product installation, or procedures to manage and configure a Network Deployment cell.
