Voraussetzungen

You are expected to have: System z background, a general familiarity with z/OS basic familiarity with Linux (desirable but not required) Many technical elements are discussed without much introduction. The workshop is intended to cover practical aspects of zPDT (and AD-CD) usage rather than provide an academic lecture about zPDT design A team approach might be used. Some z/OS skills and minor Linux skills are needed by the students or teams.

This workshop offers a detailed technical introduction to the IBM System z Personal Development Tool, usually known as zPDT. zPDT is the core element of the RDz UT and RD and T offerings. It produces a System z environment on an Intel-compatible computer, capable of running z/OS, z/VM, z/VSE or Linux for System z. This workshop concentrates on z/OS usage.
