Themenkreis

You will learn to assess, plan and implement child healthcare effectively. Through detailed modules you will develop a thorough knowledge of child development from infancy to adolescence. You will learn to recognise health risks associated with different ages and developmental stages, in order to provide the highest standard of care.

We ensure that you develop critical and analytical skills through exploring the philosophical basis of child nursing practice. You will also debate current nursing topics, while considering the future of the profession. Problem solving and making critical decisions will become second nature, and you will become confident in working within collaborative teams in order to deliver effective multi agency working, which is central to the child nurse's role.

What will you gain?
You will learn expert communications skills so you are able to engage, not only with young people, but also with families and carers so they can deliver follow up care and medication at home.

You will become an independent, self motivated practitioner, able to reflect on your practice and adopt a critical and analytical approach to the care of children and their families.
