OpenVMS Systemmanagement II

Zielgruppe: Technical support staff with little or no experience in managing OpenVMS systems that may be part of larger networks and/or OpenVMS Clusters.

Voraussetzungen: Before taking this course, students should be able to:

• Manage system users, which requires:

Maintaining the user authorization file and volume quota files.

• Creating user file directories (UFDs).

• Controlling user processes.

• Manage system resources, which requires:

Mounting and dismounting disk and tape volumes.

• Setting device characteristics.

• Starting and stopping print and batch queues.

• Performing full and incremental backups and restores of disk volumes.

• Starting up and shutting down a system using the default startup procedure.

These requirements can be met by completing the course Compaq OpenVMS System and Network Node Management I.
