This 3-day instructor-led course introduces students to the new features and standards that are offered and supported in IBM WebSphere Application Server Version 7 Base and Network Deployment (ND).In this course, students learn how to install, configure, and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server V7 Base and Network Deployment, and how to deploy enterprise Java applications. Students also learn how to work with new features in WebSphere Application Server V7, such as flexible management, administrative console extensions, security enhancements, and the centralized installation manager. Optional units cover topics such as centralized installation and auditing.Hands-on exercises and demonstrations throughout the course are designed to reinforce lecture content. The lab exercises allow students to gain practical experience with WebSphere Application Server V7 by performing tasks such as installing and assembling applications, using properties file-based configuration, applying problem determination techniques, and working with fine-grained administrative security.
