Epileptic seizures can cause distress in both the patient and those close to them during these episodes. Join the Epilepsy awareness Course offered by Emagister and certified by Edify Training and learn more about how to properly handle epileptic patients.

This half day course will teach you about epilepsy, its triggers and seizures, how to help and when to call for help, as well as the treatment and preventive measures that can be taken.

This course will give you an overview of epilepsy. It lists the methods of diagnosis, what a seizure is and how the brain can be affected. It will introduce some possible seizure triggers and describe what to do when someone has a seizure. It will also discuss some of the treatments offered to people with epilepsy and provide practical advice on what you can do if you witness someone having a seizure.

Zusätzliche Informationen

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder characterised by recurrent seizures. Its effects can be extremely debilitating and distressful for sufferers and those present during a seizure. This course will provide guidance on how to help and how to plan ahead to minimise danger of injury during seizures.

This course may be extended to a full day to include instruction on the administration of rectal Diazepam and buccal Midazolam.
