The Post-Graduation course in Human Resource Management includes a multidisciplinary analytical framework on the management of people in organizations, bringing together a faculty of excellence that seeks to combine scientific rigor with business perception.

Managing people is one of the most difficult tasks in managing organizations, so the program offers a set of proposals that can facilitate this mission. Emphasis is given to the importance of knowledge on understanding business strategy, results orientation and performance, human capital empowerment, talent management, and positive and authentic organizational cultures capable of promoting the identification and involvement of to work.
The program also promotes the development of personal skills essential to those who generate teams, such as attitudes of collaboration and proactivity, critical and empathetic posture, implicit in their own pedagogical dynamics. These will also focus on the study of actual national and international case studies, as well as the concrete situations of the participants themselves.

Demonstrate an integrated and critical perspective on the issues of people management in organizations.
Identify the meaning of strategic people and talent management and mobilize leverage approaches to business objectives through people.
Develop awareness of the importance of ethical principles, of social responsibility in people management.
Develop teamwork skills, including the effective exercise of leadership and negotiation roles.
Acquire and develop technical skills in the processes of operational management of persons.
Strengthen analytical and decision-making skills to identify the potential for intervention and change in people management.

The school calendar is as follows:

1st quarter: September to December 2017 2nd quarter: January to March 2018 3rd quarter: April to July 2018


Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Curricular structure

The program will last 270 hours of face-to-face training, distributed over three quarters.

Master Classes

Throughout the year Porto Business School organizes three specific Master Classes for students, with national and international speakers. These sessions, lasting 3 hours each, will take place on Saturday afternoons, once a quarter.


Project applied to solve a practical challenge integrating the knowledge obtained throughout the program.
