Emagister adds to its catalogue the Master in Jewelry offered by IED, which aims to train professionals to enter and succeed in the complex world of jewellery, a sector constantly changing over the past two decades and that requires a thorough understanding of all its aspects.

The Master in Jewelry Design (5th edition) teaches students how to build their own professional identity: the modules dealing with methodology, communication and branding, as well as all the other courses, help to develop a personal vision of jewelry.


The course is aimed at strengthening students’ autonomy in the relevant fields, moulding them into professionals capable of leading a design project, thanks to the acquired know-how and technical tools, managing all its complexities and using a both creative and professional approach. They also become able to design collections of high jewelry, fine jewelry or precious watches.

Based on Italian Design features such as curiosity, initiative and will of improvement, the study plan takes an in-depth look into the various aspects of creativity within the world of jewelry. Partner companies of the Master course are Bulgari, Casato Gioielli, Galleria Antonella Villanova.

The Master in Jewelry Design calls for students with a Honours Degree related to design and fashion. It is also the proper specialization for professionals and artisans looking for a deepening into technical aspects as well as the ones related to the market and product dissemination.Methodology and structure - The Master in Jewelry Design is structured to buildthe preparation in strategic sectors of jewelry, making participants ready to respond to different market opportunities.Through direct project experiences in laboratory, learning of traditional techniques, knowledge of materials and new production techniques, the student receives the methodological bases for the creative process and the professional practice, including the ability to present and promote projects. Special attention is paid to the knowledge of the culture, the historical-critical and economic instruments of the sector.Design workshops introduce students to the creation of watch; fine jewelry design focuses on the study of gemstones including their features, nuances, colors and market values. The workshop dedicated to Industrial Jewelry Design illustrates the entire range of jewellery, the use of precious and non-precious, unconventional materials, complex surface treatments.Students acquire a higher expertise in the three-dimensional design: from a strong knowledge of the geometry to the most advanced construction solutions of the jewel, using specific softwares. Knowledge of theories and experiences in marketing and advertising allow students to adopt a new approach, by learning communication methodologies.The Master ends with a Final Project, as a synthesis of the academic course, useful later as a portfolio to enter the job market.
