University Foundation Programme (UFP)

You study for one year to gain the UFP. The programme provides you with an important base, ready to build on at university, and allows you to learn at a detailed and challenging level.

Fast-Track University Foundation Programme

At CATS we offer both the traditional UFP as well as a Fast-Track 2-term version. The Fast-Track UFP is designed for students who are able to complete the full-year programme within a shorter period of time, and is ideal for highly ambitious students or those requiring additional revision for examination retakes. You will receive extra teaching hours each week to ensure you are well prepared for your exams.

How you are assessed

You take examinations in each subject at the end of the year. To ensure that you are well prepared you will also take part in mock exams so that your teachers can help with anything you are finding difficult. English is tested through an IELTS examination. Most subjects have 30% coursework which is written or practical work completed throughout the year and counts towards your overall grade.
