• develop an appropriate structure
• make an effective introduction (RAMP model)
• win and hold an audience's attention
• build an effective argument
• use signposts to show direction
• clarify and highlight key points through labelling
• use your voice to support your message - 4Ps: power, pace, pitch and pause
• use slides effectively
• make a memorable conclusion (a summary is not a conclusion)
• Deal with questions (4 Rs technique)
