The Master of Science Program in Energy Science and Technology has been designed to provide students, both national and international, with a comprehensive education on scientific and technological aspects of modern techniques for energy conversion and energy storage. Special emphasis is given to interdisciplinary aspects, which become increasingly important in modern technologies.
Building on a broad base covering conventional energy technology as well as related fields in Chemistry, Materials Science and Electrical Engineering, the course focuses on »Non-Carnot« techniques for Energy Conversion, in particular on Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Energy Storage (Fuel Cells, Batteries). Reflecting the interdisciplinary program character, courses will be taught by lecturers from the Natural Science and Engineering Departments, and from the participating Research Institutions.

Global opportunities at a young, research-oriented University
Ulm University offers a two year international Masters of Science Program in Energy Science and Technology. Bringing together qualified students from all over the world; it is designed primarily for international students and taught entirely in English. The curriculum is augmented by intensive courses and inter-cultural exchange. The next graduate course will start in fall 2009.
Duration
4 semesters (2 years) for students with a Bachelor Degree.
This time includes a six-month period for the completion of the master's thesis.
Language
All compulsory and elective courses are taught in English. Intensive language courses in German are provided for foreign students.
