Internationaler Studiengang Digitale Medien M.Sc.

Following the emergence of computer-based interactive media in nearly all fields of work and private life, Digital Media is emerging as a scientific discipline - a field of research that goes further than just combining the knowledge of designers and computer scientists: It also takes their different communities seriously and integrates their knowledge, taking their respective approaches and attitudes into account.

The international Master of Digital Media program of study in Bremen is a collaborative program of four universities: University of Bremen, University of the Arts Bremen, Hochschule Bremerhaven, University of Applied Sciences and Hochschule Bremen, University of Applied Sciences. The Master of Digital Media is a two-year program leading to a Master of Science (M.Sc.) or a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree. The Master of Arts is issued at the University of the Arts Bremen. The other universities (University of Bremen, University of Applied Sciences Bremen and University of Applied Sciences Bremerhaven) issue the Master of Sciences degree. The Master of Digital Media program seeks for excellence in design, informatics and media theory alike. The program aims for professional and method competencies, for personal, social and intercultural competencies and for competencies in scientific work. Having completed the course the students will be able to study, to design, to develop and to evaluate digital media applications and their use. The students are prepared to work in international projects. PhD studies are possible for holders of an excellent degree.
