I wanted to develop my interests in the research field, and that is something one can only do when studying abroad with a scholarship. I could visit some cities of Italy and see a lot of beautiful places. I was also able to visit other countries of the European Union, like England, France, Spain and Belgium. These trips really opened my mind and made me think a lot.

Ich habe zuvor den Bachelor in Management an der TBS Barcelona studiert und ich weiß genau, was ich will. Und deswegen erfüllt der Master exakt meine Erwartungen: er ist international und die Studieninhalte sowie die Professoren haben ein sehr hohes Niveau. Besonders gefallen mir das internationale Umfeld auf dem Campus, die Möglichkeit, ein sechsmonatiges Praktikum zu absolvieren, und die sehr gute Betreuung seitens der Professoren und Studienleitung - egal bei welchem Problem.

Ich habe zuvor den Bachelor in Management an der TBS Barcelona studiert und ich weiß genau, was ich will. I grew up in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan region in Minnesota, USA. I attended Arizona State University and studied Sustainability with an emphasis on architecture and urban development. In 2010, I began working for a green building consultancy in Phoenix, Arizona that specializes in project management of LEED certified buildings. I plan to focus my future research on transit-oriented development and hope to begin a career in transit planning. The Mundus Urbano program provides me with a unique opportunity to learn about urban development in an international and interdisciplinary context.

I was on the York-CEU mobility track. York provided a strong theoretical focus on public administration and public policy, while CEU’s array of classes and rigorous attention to practical application of policy skills vastly increased my ambition for future employment. Further, the diverse student body allowed me to become familiar with systems and institutions across the world in a manner in which I never thought possible. These scholastic attributes combined with the opportunity to live in two magnificent – if diametrically different – European cities, proved to be a unique and awesome experience that I would recommend to anyone. Currently, I am working at the Center for Media and Communication Studies, where I am continuing work that I began during my studies at CEU, and have initiated a new project on Internet Freedom of Expression in coordination with an international NGO.
