  • Identify various OpenVMS Configurations
  • Describe the characteristics of an OpenVMS Cluster System
  • Describe the characteristics of a network and list basic network management tasks
  • Describe OpenVMS software concepts
  • Access local and global symbol tables
  • Use symbols in command lines
  • Use terminal I/O to communicate with the user
  • Use symbols as variables and parameters
  • Control the flow of execution in a command procedure
  • Redirect input and output to a file
  • Obtain and manipulate information with commonly used lexical functions
  • Write command procedures that perform file I/O
  • Detect and handle errors and Ctrl/Y interrupts
  • Use the Authorize Utility
  • Use the SHOW and LIST commands of the Authorize utility to list user accounts
  • Add a user to the system
