This three-day course teaches students to configure and use advanced features provided by WebSphere Application Server V6.1 (and V6.0), Network Deployment. Students acquire the necessary skills to set up WebSphere Application Server in a distributed environment, and learn the intricacies of end-to-end security, J2EE security, SSL, and digital signatures that are relevant to administrators. Students also learn to articulate, design, and implement robust workload management scenarios in order to improve performance and manage failover.Hands-on activities and group discussions enable students to understand, design, configure, and manage a Network Deployment cell, including hands-on exercises to set up SSL and use LDAP or local registries.
