Implementing B2B Solutions with the IBM WebSphere DataPower B2B Appliance XB60

In this 2-day instructor-led course, students learn how to implement business-to-business (B2B) solutions using the IBM WebSphere DataPower B2B Appliance XB60.The WebSphere DataPower B2B Appliance XB60 is a purpose-built, easy-to-use appliance designed for simplified deployment, exceptional performance, and hardened security at the edge of the enterprise. The XB60 incorporates and builds upon the DataPower Integration Appliance, adding B2B functions that can extend integration beyond the enterprise. This appliance is designed to provide a high-performance and security-enhanced B2B gateway for trading partner connections, and to use trading partner configuration and document policy in the DMZ to provide B2B governance, protecting private networks from unreliable data.Through lecture and hands-on exercises, students learn how to configure a B2B gateway to connect partners and pass payload to a destination. Topics covered include security processing of incoming and outgoing transactions, auditing of transactions sent through the appliance, receiving AS2 and AS3 messages and confirming receipt using MDN messages, and configuring SSL to and from the DataPower Appliance. Students also learn how to enforce service level policies to manage traffic to and from the DataPower Appliance, troubleshoot services using logs and probes, and utilize best practices and architectural scenarios for effectively using DataPower Appliances in the service-oriented architecture (SOA).
