This instructor-led training course introduces the student to the HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Array (MSA) 2012fc and 2012i. This course focuses on implementing and managing on MSA SAN solution. The student gains on understanding of the features, benefits, and components of each of the systems and learns the main considerations for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting the systems. The student also learns to use the various tools and utilities available for configuring and managing the array systems.

Explain the product benefits and main features:o Controllers o Fibre Channel and iSCSI controller modules o Power and cooling units o Identify the software applications supported on the MSA products o Discuss the sample configurations for the MSA products o Discuss basic operating procedures and associated considerations o Demonstrate the ability to remove and replace key components o Identify, locate, and discuss the functions of the hardware components o Drive enclosures and hard drives o Expansion controller modules o Related interconnect devices o Navigate and utilize the Storage Management Utility (SMU) o Discuss and utilize the command line interface commands o Demonstrate the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot a variety of problems
