- neo- institutional offers: e.g. historical school with path dependence
- integration theories- e.g. the intergovernmental vs. supranational divide; the fusion approach ; federalist considerations
- scenarios: value and limits of the approach
- narratives : Assumptions and logics
As key cases:
- Analysis and assessment of the EP‘s election: e.g. still a ‚secondary order election‘ and the impact on the EP‘s internal decision - making : Changed internal balances ?
- next steps for the elections of the President of the Commission: the Spitzenkandidat strategy
- the (s)election of the President of the European Council and of the High representative and of the ECB President
- the battle for the next decision on the budget: the size of own resources income and the distribution of expenditure in the MFF
- after Brexit : whichcoalitions/alliances in the EU: the Franco -German couple, the Hanseatic group , the cohesion group
- the Commission‘s scenarios for the future
- the search for new narratives
- strategies of national governments- e.g. Macron‘s Sorbonne program and speeches in the EP: Orban and Merkel
