Employee Inventions and International R+D

A variety of separate national laws provides local solutions to questions regarding the allocation of rights resulting from employee inventions, their transfer to the employer and the relevant remuneration claims of the inventors. These problems need to be resolved in R+D agreements between cooperation partners in cross-border scenarios, within a multinational group of companies, and in situations of employee delegation or dislocation of R+D activities. This seminar shall provide a sound overview about different local laws in important countries in EU and beyond with respect to employee invention rights. It shall enable the participants to address complex situations when designing and negotiating agreements for cross-border R+D.
