KURSINHALT
This course is designed to teach PowerHA for AIX professionals the techniques used to plan for, configure, and manage PowerHA/XD using Geographic Logical Volume Manager (GLVM), Metro Mirror, or Global Mirror as the data replication method.Themenübersicht
Day 1:
Welcome
- Unit 1 - Disaster recovery and PowerHA/XD concepts
- Unit 2 - GLVM concepts and synchronous configuration
- Exercise 1 - PowerHA/XD reference, lab assignments, and gmdsizing
- Exercise 2 - Synchronous GLVM implementation
- Unit 3 - PowerHA/XD for GLVM and Asynchronous GLVM configuration
- Exercise 3 - PowerHA/XD for GLVM configuration and Asynchronous GLVM integration
- Unit 4 - PowerHA/XD for Metro-Mirror
- Unit 5 - PowerHA/XD for GLVM cluster management
- Exercise 4 - PowerHA/XD for GLVM cluster managment
- Lab completion and open lab

Students should have experience with installing and performing standard PowerHA for AIX configuration functions, which can be obtained through one of thefollowing mandatory courses:
- HACMP System Administration 1: Planning and Implementation (AU54 up to 2009), or
- PowerHA for AIX 1: Implementation, Configuration and Administration (AN41D1DE), or
Students should also have experience with the the principles of good system management; TCP/IP Communications Concepts and Tools. These skills can be obtained by attending:
- AIX Network Administration 1: TCP/IP and TCP/IP Services (AU07D0DE), or
- TCP/IP for AIX Administrators (AN21), or
Students should also have experience with LVM Concepts and Configuration.These skills can be obtained by attending:
- Power Systems for AIX 2: AIX Implementation and Administration (AN12D1DE), and/or
- Power Systems for AIX III: Advanced Administration and Problem Determination (AN15D1DE), or
